Milk From A Police Officer’s Farm

Category: Abstract
How safe do we feel consuming the products that we buy? What constitutes our judgment? Food, for example, is intimate to our bodies. We become what we consume. To some extent, the history of what we consume can be tasted. If I were consuming a glass of milk and I got informed that it was from a law enforcer; it certainly would taste different. Here is why.

For context...
Finer establishments option to source locally available ingredients from far instead of enjoying the convenience provided by close proximity. Of course this impacts the pricing upwards but that does not stop people from flocking such locations.

That’s a benefit of being specific to taste. Such setups offer exquisite experience but this is not rarefied. If you got specific in your sourcing, I bet you, you’d feel the same. So; would you buy milk from a farm owned by a law enforcer or a life long farmer?

In a world full of trained and generational farmers, why would I be consuming milk from someone who is specialized in security and law enforcement? Unless something is broken.

Mankind has come up with careers out of necessity. Some were just good at growing food and specialized in it to become farmers. Some were not as talented and needed to stay alive so they stole. The farmers in turn paid strong people to guard their wealth and so on. These careers have been passed down in generations, each adding something to it, most of which is not documented as they’ve become ‘family secrets’.

Its the secrets you posses that make your products stand out. You could advertise all you want but that will never beat the word of mouth. Word of mouth is testimony. Whoever is using your product must feel appreciated more than they are at home. Otherwise, no body would travel to your spot if the nearest would do. Generic lives are convenient but everybody wants to feel like a king.

Say I was an officer of the law for most of my active life. What would push me to farming? Did I run out of passion? Is my career not a source of pride, one that that can inspire my children to better me? Is my pay that bad such that I’d be forced to substitute it with an entire occupation? Or was my life simply a mistake and this is me starting over?

Let’s make the assumption that one of the fore mentioned possibilities is true. Then if I’d venture into farming, it would be by the book. That would be the only way to get knowledge that works. Then from there, start the processes of tweaking a thousand things to make my product stand out from the competition. These secrets become our generational wealth.

However, we live in a world driven by greed. I think a police officer would have some experience in that. If I were greedy enough to deny myself the finer tastes in life for some sort of convenience, then it follows that generic milk from a police officer is milk. A king however, would have had someone in the kitchen suffer for bringing the tastes of peasantry to the table.

By now, I would feel different about this glass of milk. What would I think of myself if I came to finish it?
